We had our first family camping experience at the LifeSong Church campout this weekend. Our friends Mike and Shari hosted the whole church at their place up in Mountain Springs. The men went to a remote campsite while the ladies camped in the yard near the house. We had a great time of fellowship and fun. How did the kids do? Well, Ruthie was teething (fever and runny nose), so she didn't sleep much. Well, the babies in general didn't sleep much (we are so sorry to the other ladies for keeping you up!). In contrast, Steve said that Sam slept like a rock and had a blast with the guys riding quads, hiking, and eating marshmallows for dinner and breakfast.
The camping trip is all he talks about! He even made a lego reenactment of the men roasting marshmallows at the campsite. Thank you to Mike and Shari for hosting us and to Josh and Stefanie for planning the event--you all worked so hard to make for an enjoyable time.
