Last December, on the occasion of my (Karen's) graduation, we had a celebration to thank the Lord for His guidance and for friends and family who are so special to us. At that time we shared from Numbers 9:15-23, about how the Lord guided Israel through the desert with a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night; wherever the pillar would lead, the people would follow. In the same way, we know that God's plan for us is always best, and we should be willing to follow Him wherever He leads, even on a moment's notice. Little did we know that the pillar would be moving so soon! In April, Steve received a job offer from Toyota Financial Savings Bank in Henderson, Nevada (Las Vegas). Four weeks later, we were here in Henderson moving into our rent house! He has a unique opportunity to work in risk management for their new credit card offerings. We were sad to see Steve leave Dell Financial Services; he grew and was blessed so much during his five-year tenure there. And the Lord really had to work on our hearts to get us ready to leave our friends and church in Austin. But at every step, He's made our path clear. We were blessed to have a generous relocation package which provided professional movers and help with selling our Austin house (still in progress!). And He's led us to a very special new church family here in Las Vegas; more on that later...
