Bailey's Brush with Death

A couple of weeks ago, our cat Bailey had a "close call."  One night, we noticed that he didn't come to bed (both cats always sleep with us).  Instead, he stayed huddled in a corner for two days, wouldn't eat, vomited continually, and had diarrhea.  We finally did something we've never done before: took the cat to the vet.

Turned out Bailey had swallowed a two-foot-long piece of string (yes, a full 24 inches!) and, understandably, wasn't feeling to good about it.  He finally passed it after two days and started acting like his old self, but even more cuddly than usual.  We sure are thankful everything is back to normal.
