Last week, Sam and I traveled to Colorado Springs, CO, to visit his Grandma and Grandpa Janzen (Steve had to stay behind for work; what a sweetheart to let us go anyway!). Sam learned so many new things on the trip: blowing raspberries, propping up on hands and knees (almost ready to crawl!), feeding himself solid chunks of food, and banging toys to make noise. He also got some really special treatment: both Grandpa and Grandma took him shopping for clothes! We had expected to encounter a blizzard during our visit, which turned out to be just a dusting of snow. Nonetheless, we spent our evenings cozy by the fire. We also got to see Sandy's daughter (Aunt Desi) and her family: Uncle Mike and cousins Alexia, Karis, and Kaitlyn. Kaitlyn is only 3 weeks older than Sam, and they had such fun playing together.
Grandpa make a makeshift (and perfect!) highchair for Sam using a breakfast tray and C-clamps. It was just the perfect height, and Sam loved it:

Lastly, a great picture of Grandma and Grandpa together:
